Shipping and Returns
STANDARD SHIPPING (generally 6-8 business days not including processing time) within the United States is $5.95 for all orders under $100. Orders over $100 receive free standard shipping. Standard shipping orders currently take around 3-5 days to be processed, packaged and shipped out depending on current order volume.
EXPRESS SHIPPING (2-3 business days transit time) is offered for $19.95. We process these within 1-2 business days to get them out to you.
EXPRESS + SHIPPING is offered for $39.95. Orders must be placed before 12pm will ship out the same day. All orders received after 12pm EST will be shipped the next business day. Business days are Monday-Friday for this service.
International Shipping is offered at checkout. We ship worldwide and have a set rate listed. That rate is for UPS Expedited International Service which typically gets door to door in 5-7 days, sometimes sooner. We do offer a slower, more cost effective option for some countries. If you are interested, please chat in to us on the website with your address and the items you are interested in purchasing so that we can provide a quote. All duties and taxes for the country the order is entering are the responsibility of the buyer.

All Sassy Shortcake orders include Tracking with Delivery Confirmation. If your tracking information confirms that the item has been delivered to your order address but you have not received a package, please contact the carrier directly to investigate this issue before contacting us. We are not responsible for packages where tracking information states the package has been delivered to your order address.
Sassy Shortcake is NOT responsible for:
- Delays with shipping
- International Duties or Customs charges
- Products that are lost or damaged in the mail. The US Postal Service or UPS will be responsible once we ship a package.
- You will need to contact your local Post Office to obtain information regarding your package if it shows delivered and you have not received it.
**Shipping Carrier Update**
Please note that our shipping carriers are experiencing delays due to the holiday season. These delays may impact ground and expedited shipping. Due to these delays, your package may move but not scan at every location in transit to you. Rest assured, if you have received tracking information, your package has left our shop.
For pre-orders, please reference the estimated shipping date on the product page as to when your item will ship.
In Store Pickup:
We have moved from our 237 King Street, Charleston shop and now offer in store pickup at our new location located at 405 N Maple Street in Summerville. To find the new shop take the Nexton exit off of I-26. If you would like us to pack your order for pickup please let us know in the notes section at checkout. We will refund the shipping fee charged and text you when your order is ready at the shop to be picked up.
SASSY SHORTCAKE RETURNS:
At Sassy Shortcake Boutique we understand that you cannot try on garments before purchasing them online. If you would like a pic of a try on or have questions, please use the chat now button on our website and one of our stylists will be happy to assist!
We are happy to provide you a STORE CREDIT (NO REFUNDS) on all full priced items, should they meet the below requirements:
- You initiate a return via our return portal within 7 days of the delivery of your order. Once approved, please ship the item back to us within 7 days. Please see info on our extended holiday return policy below.
- Garments MUST be new, unused and with all tags still attached as they were when you received. If these conditions are not met, a minimum 50% deduction will be taken off of the store credit for the item(s). If the returned item is damaged we reserve the right to refuse the return.
ITEMS THAT CANNOT BE RETURNED:

sale items cannot be returned, however, full priced items with a discount code used can be returned

items that were damaged (zipper broken, lost button etc) in the process of trying on or wearing.

jewelry, swimsuits, costumes, or holiday items

sassy merch (each piece is custom and made to order)

items that were worn and not in new condition
To initiate a return please visit our RETURN PORTAL HERE or by clicking the return portal option at the bottom left of our website. Please check spam folders for confirmation emails from us as they get caught there from time to time.
All return shipping and handling charges are the responsibility of the customer. We do offer a return label upon request in our return portal for a fee of $7.95 that will be deducted from your return credit.
Items returned without approval or sent back after the return window has closed will not be accepted.
Damaged items must be reported within two days of the delivery on your order. Please chat in with us on our website and send a photo. Due to abuse on special occasion dresses being worn and returned there will be no exceptions on this so please inspect your items upon receipt.
Once an order is placed, you will have a one hour window to contact us requesting cancellation prior to processing. Once that window has passed, we will not be able to cancel your order.
Holiday Season Extended Return Policy:
During the holiday season, we offer an extended return period. Purchases made between November 15, 2024, and December 31, 2024, are eligible for return until January 15, 2025.
